GMA Network’s prime magazine show Kapuso Mo Jessica Soho has again proven its dominance in weekend programming.
In the latest report from AGB NUTAM People ratings, the Jessica Soho-hosted magazine show again reigned Sunday programming taking the top spot on the ratings board.
KMJS registered a 17.4% ratings last Sunday, August 11 topping all Sunday programs.
For almost 15 years, KJMS has been fighting hard in the ratings game against a little older rival Rated K.
Rated K used to lord the Sunday timeslot against KJMS until it made a blunder last year when they featured the interview between host Korina Sanchez and the controversial blogger Mocha Uson.
Korina didn’t escape the scrutiny and criticisms of netizens for her “bold” move of sitting in an interview with Uson, a known critic and fake news purveyor of her husband Mar Roxas.
The interview was met by numerous criticisms from netizens and even loyal Rated K viewers for its “inappropriateness.”
From then on, KMJS started to climb the ratings board and pull away against its competitor. Rated K‘s decline in the ratings prompted it to move back to its original timeslot, an earlier one at 6 pm.
Meanwhile, Kantar Media also reported a good number for KMJS. The Kapuso Magazine show scored 27.1% nationwide ratings to rank 3rd in the Sunday ratings board following The Voice Kids and Hiwaga ng Kambat in 1st and 2nd place respectively.
