  • Shaina Magdayao refused to comment on the issue involving by Bea Alonzo, Gerald Anderson, and Julia Barretto
  • She chose not to side with any of the three whom she considers her friends
  • She is now making a comeback on TV through Nang Ngumiti ang Langit

Kapamilya actress Shaina Magdayao refused to comment on the controversy involving Bea Alonzo, Gerald Anderson, and Julia Barretto.

Shaina was known to be a longtime friend of Bea but they reportedly had a misunderstanding back in 2010 allegedly because of John Lloyd Cruz. Bea later clarified that the actor was not involved in the rift.

The two last worked together in the 2013 movie Four Sisters and a Wedding along with Angel Locsin and Toni Gonzaga.

Shaina was once linked to Gerald whom she worked with on the 2013 award-winning crime thriller film On the Job and ABS-CBN’s 2015 fantasy drama series Nathaniel.

When asked about her reaction to the issue involving her friends, she chose to remain mum.

“It’s not for me to say, parang I would… Of course, I do have something to say, but just because I do doesn’t mean I will,” she said in a press conference held for the announcement of her TV comeback on ABS-CBN’s daytime series Nang Ngumiti ang Langit last Monday, August 5.

“It’s beyond what my own world now and hindi naman ako parte noon. So, kumbaga, parang I’d like to take care of my peace, and sa kanila din. I don’t want to add anymore sa nangyayari,” she continued.

According to her, she does not know the whole story thus she has nothing to say about the issue.

“To to be very honest, hindi ko na rin alam yung mga detalye. And kilala niyo naman ako, kung sino lang yung mga nasa mundo ko ngayon, yun lang yung kung kanino ako updated. Para simple lang ang buhay. So, I don’t know. And ayokong magsalita kung hindi ko pa alam kung ano talaga yung nangyayari, so wala. I don’t have anything to say,” the actress said.

Does she have any message of support for Bea, Gerald, or Julia?

“No, because I don’t know the whole story and all of them are my friends.  Gusto ko na lang irespeto iyon. And I have other things that are going on in my life na sobrang dami din naman, so huwag na nating dagdagan pa,” she said with a smile.

Shaina is making a come back on the small screen through the series Nang Ngumiti ang Langit. She will play a kind-hearted nurse named Grace Andrada. She will be one of the protectors of lead character Mikmik (Sophia Reola) in the series.

It was on July 21,when Bea hinted about the infidelity of her boyfriend of three years Gerald on social media. At that time, Julia and Gerald’s photo together went viral which fueled rumors about their supposed relationship.

Days after the controversy came out, Bea confirmed that Gerald “ghosted” her and that they did not have a formal breakup. Gerald just stopped communicating with her one day.

The controversy became more widespread when several celebrities started to air their opinions on the persons involved in the rift.

Apart gaining sympathy from the public, Bea was also supported by Angel Locsin, Paulo Avelino, Derek Ramsay, Gretchen Barretto, and Claudine Barretto.

Julia, on the other hand, was defended by her mother Marjorie Barretto, sister Dani Barretto and grandmother Inday Barretto.
