Daddy’s Gurl is getting a new timeslot again and its director Chris Martinez seems a little bit dismayed.
In a Tweet, Martinez said that Daddy’s Gurl will have a new timeslot right after the “singing contest.”
“Starting NEXT SATURDAY #DaddysGurl has a new timeslot – right after the singing contest. THANK YOU FOR YOUR LOYALTY! Let’s all have a great time later #DaddysGurlCopyCat still at 7 pm!” he wrote.

Daddy’s Gurl has been subjected to several schedule changes since its premiere in October 2018. Initially slated at 7:30 pm the Vic Sotto-Maine Mendoza sitcom has been bumped off twice already to give way to GMA network’s talent and singing search shows.
From its original 7:30 pm schedule, it was put in an earlier timeslot of 7 pm to give way to StarStruck Season 7. Now that StarStruck has finally ended its run, Daddy’s Gurl was moved again to another slot, this time at 8 pm to give way to the 2nd season of The Clash.

These several changes of schedule may have prompted that shady tweet from Martinez which was echoed by some of the netizens.

But despite several switches in timeslot, Daddy’s Gurl remained a worthy contender in the ratings game. Since its pilot, Daddy’s Gurl has registered good ratings even beating its rival several times.
