- Super Tekla is now up for his first big screen stint Kiko En Lala
- He is best known as a talk show host on The Boobay and Tekla Show
- He said that he feels confident about his film going against Jowable
Kiko En Lala of Backyard Productions has finally revealed its playdate after months of waiting. It will be released this September 25 in the cinemas along with the Viva Film Jowable.
Coincidentally, Kiko En Lala is the launching movie of Super Tekla or Romeo Librada while Kim Molina is also starring in her launching movie Jowable.
Kiko En Lala was supposed to be the comeback movie of GMA Pictures and was scheduled to premiere last May but it was moved due to unspecified reasons.
Super Tekla admitted that he does not feel worried about his comedy film competing against the Kim Molina starrer.
Yun ang gusto ko kaya itong movie ko, pampamilya siya,” Super Tekla said in an exclusive interview of PEP last September 12, Thursday.
The comedian also expressed his overwhelming happiness for having this big break as an artist in spite the delay.

Super Tekla mentioned that though the film is receiving heavy criticisms now, he assured fans that the film is well-made and will be surely loved by the whole family.
“Actually, bina-bash nga siya. Ina-under estimate, tine-turn down ng mga tao. Sabi nila, corny, baduy, kabaduyan…
Joining the comedian star in the film are Derrick Monasterio, Kim Domingo, Kiray Celis, Divine Tetay, Jo Berry, Vangie Labalan, and Ai-Ai Delas Alas in a very special role. It is directed by Adolfo Alix Jr.
Super Tekla will play conjoined twins named Kiko and Lala who badly wish to be separated to pursue their love interests. Their wish will be granted but there’s a catch: only one of them will live.

Meanwhile, Jowable is a film about Elsa, played by Kim, who continuously rants about the lack of romantic love in her life, and she seeks advice from everyone everywhere just to appease her soul. It is adapted from the viral short video series of the same name and is directed by Darryl Yap.
