During the press conference for Isa Pa With Feelings, Carlo Aquino and Maine Mendoza finally spoke up about their movie being compared to the Kathryn Bernardo-Alden Richards blockbuster Hello, Love, Goodbye.
The newest tandem reiterated that they don’t feel pressure at all about reaching or surpassing what Hello, Love, Goodbye has accomplished as the highest-earning Pinoy film of all time.
According to the Kapuso actress, they just want to produce a film which cinema-goers will absolutely love.
Maine stated, “Hindi naman kami nape-pressure kasi wala naman kaming pinapatunayan. Parang gusto lang naming gumawa ng pelikulang magugustuhan ng mga tao. So magiging masaya kami kung hangang saan man aabutin. Wala kaming target or anything, so ayon, ang goal lang talaga namin ay magustuhan ng tao at ma-appreciate ang story ng dalawang bida.”

He said, “Basta naniniwala kami na maganda talaga ‘yung pelikula namin. Kung maganda ‘yung pelikula nila, maganda rin po ‘yung pelikula namin at pinaghirapan din po naming ‘to.”
Alden Richards and Maine Mendoza used to be a love team for Eat Bulaga’s “Kalyeserye” in its Juan for All, All for Juan segment. The two decided to go their separate ways this year to pursue their own projects.
