An AlDub fan with the Twitter name Athena Faulkerson ADN @jenniferenero1 posted a photo of Alden Richards with a Philippine Airlines’ flight attendant (FA) inside the cabin of a plane last November 17, 2019.
In the photo, there was a caption from a Twitter user named @hels supposedly the FA saying that she was only able to take a photo of Alden while Maine Mendoza went to the bathroom, therefore insinuating that the Pambansang Bae and the Dubsmash Queen were on the flight together.
However, Jazel Saguinsin, the FA in the photo, reacted to the false caption and strongly denied that Maine was also on the flight. Her Twitter account was also different from the one that made the false claim.
Jazel reprimanded AlDub fans for spreading fake news and using her name. Jazel advised AlDub fans to accept reality and respect that the two stars are happily working on their respective projects.

Unfortunately, Athena also impersonated an American writer named Helen Rosner, who is the real owner of the @hels Twitter account.
Rosner, a feminist writer for the iconic The New Yorker Magazine, was taken aback by the falsified tweet and asked how @TwitterSafety would deal with someone making fake posts using her name on a topic she had no idea about.
This is not the first time that some AlDub fans have stirred up trouble online. The same Twitter user Athena also bashed Sylvia Sanchez for posting a photo of a family dinner they had with friends that included Maine Mendoza who has been romantically linked to her son Arjo Atayde.

Last December 2017, veteran comedienne Ai-ai Delas Alas lambasted AlDub fans for creating malicious speculations after she uploaded a video of Sunday PinaSaya’s Christmas Party, wherein Alden was just sitting beside Julie Anne San Jose. Fans were quick to speculate and linking Julie Anne to the ‘Pambansang Bae.’
Ai-Ai said: “Deadma pero isa lang sabihin ko bago mag-salita isip din muna wag mag paka bobo kasi si Alden e nasa kabilang lamesa, asawa ko nag vi video at masaya ang party namin atsaka lahat na lang binibigyan ng kahulugan kaya tingin ko diyan narindi si Maine kaka ganyan nyang mga fans na yan sobra namimihasa.”
