Kapamilya veteran actress Sylvia Sanchez faced the entertainment press to finally clarify the rumors about her daughter Ria Atayde and JM de Guzman’s real relationship.
The two have been frequently asked by the media about the real status of their relationship since they have displayed a noticeable closeness with each other lately.
The rumors grew stringer after JM was seen dining with Ria’s family. This led others to speculate that JM is now treated as part of the Atayde family.
Reacting to this matter, Sylvia said, “Hindi ko alam problema nila ‘yun.Hindi ko masasagot yun. Problema ni Ria at JM ‘yun, matatanda na sila.”
Adding to the conversation, the actress later clarified that JM and Ria are just close friends.
“Pero magkaibigan sila. Hindi sila ngayon boyfriend-girlfriend. Magkaibigan silang matalik na nagsusuportahan. Kung may problema yung isa nandun ‘yung isa, alam mo yung ganun,” she explained.
Nevertheless, Sylvia said that she is happy about her daughter’s current relationship with the actor.
“Natutuwa ako sa relasyon nila. Pero hindi sila. Hindi sila kasi sabi ko nga pag kayo di kayo. Pero di ba mabuti yung handa pareho? Handa si Ria, handa si JM.”
Sylvia also cited that JM as a very kind person which is often “misinterpreted”.
“Si JM naman mahal ko na yan noon pa. Five years ago kasa-kasama ko yan si JM. Tapos si JM naman namimis-interpret lang kasi di ba, pinagdaanan niya. Ang mga tao pag may pinagdaanan ka, closed na utak mo, yun na yun ganun. Negative ka na hindi ka na pwede magbago, hindi ka na pwedeng tumayo.”
She continued,”Di ba people change? Hello? Kahit ano ka sa nakaraan mo, importante ngayon tsaka kung ano yung nasa puso mo and JM is napakabait na tao na mis-interpret lang yung batang yun .Sobrang mabait yu tsaka mapagmahal sa magulang kung alam niyo lang.”
Sylvia then implied that she is not in control of Ria and JM’s relationship.
“Kung siya man magiging ano ni Ria, later on boyfriend, problema nilang dalawa yun. Hindi ko naman pwedeng kontrolin puso nilang dalawa,” she concluded.
