Pamilya Ko has valuable content that fascinated its viewers. It tackled depression. If one remembers, the series showed a glimpse of a depressed character who struggled.

One of the most eye-openers was when Lemon, portrayed by Kira Balinger drew a butterfly on her wrist to represent the pressure and depression–the state she was feeling at the time. It turned out into a coping mechanism for her.
Such a device is widely used in mental health and helps people who want to self-harm overcome their impulses.
However, there came a point when she had a suicidal tendency and would lock herself in her bedroom, staring at her desk’s sharp scissors.

Balingers’ amazing performance, viewers definitely got a glimpse of the struggle of a patient with depression.
On November 29-30, 2019, the #PamilyaKoDepresyon trended and Netizens praised the show for its versatile acting of Balinger and other Pamilya Ko cast members.
I love that #PamilyaKoDepresyon is tackling issues most people consider taboo. And yes, at this day and age, people are still misinformed about these topics. Kudos!

Depression is a common and serious medical illness that negatively affects how you feel, the way you think and how you act.Fortunately,it is also treatable. Depression causes feelings of sadness and/or a loss of interest in activities once enjoyed. @Kbalinger#PamilyaKoDepresyon

Despite the meaningful content it has to offer, Pamilya Ko was one of the ABS CBN shows that got canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Pamilya Ko production has shared the bad news via its official Instagram account with a collage of photos of the cast and crew.
The teleserye has done an incredible task of tackling topics that could be considered sensitive, especially in this country. Mental health is seldom discussed or even addressed on television shows, but the series bravely depicted it.
In the series, JM de Guzman, Kiko Estrada, Kid Yambao, Jairus Aquino, Maris Racal, Kira Balinger, Sylvia Sanchez, and Joey Marquez portrayed a typical Filipino large family who took everyday challenges and tried to set an example to its audience.
