For the 70th year of GMA Network, a new teleserye, Anak ni Biday vs. Anak ni Waray, a remake of the 1984 film will soon make its way on primetime on GMA Network.
Rising Kapuso stunners Kate Valdez and Barbie Forteza will lead this much-awaited series with veteran actors Snooky Serna and Dina Bonnevie.
But rumors are spreading that this much-awaited series will replace Ken Chan and Rita Daniela’s One of the Baes.
The show has been successful since its pilot week, rating high against its ABS-CBN Network rival. Last October in NUTAM ratings, One of the Baes even recorded a score of 8.4%, beating ABS-CBN’s which got 7.8% only.
Lead star Ken Chan was beyond thankful for the success of the show.

On the other hand, Anak ni Biday vs. Anak ni Waray‘s recent teaser showed the amazing Waray speaking skills of Barbie and Snooky as it did with the Ilocano-speaking skills of Kate and Dina.
With this much preparation for the remake of Anak ni Biday vs. Anak ni Waray will this series be a worthy replacement to One of the Baes?
