Mocha was apparently referring to the list of Filipino women honored and given tribute at the U2 concert in Philippine Arena.
At the concert, the popular Irish rock band honored a list of distinguished Filipino women who contributed to the cause of women’s rights in the country.
Bono dedicated the song “Ultra Violet (Light My Way)” to Rappler CEO and known Duterte critic Maria Ressa and other outstanding Filipino women which include former President Corazon Aquino, Lidy Nacpil, Joan Carling, Sen. Pia Cayetano, award-winning Broadway star Lea Salonga, and Filipino revolutionary Melchora Aquino
“When journalists don’t have to worry about what they write, that’s a beautiful day. … When women of the world unite to rewrite history as herstory, that’s a beautiful day,” said Bono.
Mocha has always been a critic of Ressa and other women’s groups critical of the Duterte administration.
As a former PCOO Undersecretary, Uson has also been tagged worldwide as the queen of fake news for spreading disinformation on her Facebook page.
Some of the international publications which dubbed Uson as the fake news queen include South China Morning Post, Pan Pacific Agency, and Hong Kong News.
Meanwhile, netizens could not help but throw shade at Mocha for ironically using the phrase fake news when she herself is a notorious perpetrator of it. The majority of the reactions were either slamming Uson or making fun of her hypocrisy to call out fake news.
Here are some of the netizen’s reactions to Mocha’s sentiments about Bono.
You mean your own FAKESELFNEWS didn't work for him. 🙌🏽

Bono is a member of Amnesty International. They have their own reliable sources of information. Sources that are not censored or sanitized by the ruling regimes. Think about that.
