Blind Filipino singer wows Sam Smith, Kelly Clarkson, and other International singers

Carl Malone Montecido is a blind Filipino singer who joined It’s Showtime’s Tawag ng Tanghalan in 2016 and won as the Fifth Placer, and then in 2019, he joined GMA Network’s The Clash where he was eliminated after the first round.

Former Tawag ng Tanghalan Finalist Carl Malone Montecido caught the attention of International singers through his viral video where he sang ‘Too Good At Goodbyes’ of Sam Smith.

Sam Smith posted a clip of Carl singing his song inside a store and asked: “WHO IS THIS KID!!!!!? YOU ARE OUT OF THIS UNIVERSE WHOEVER YOU ARE”

On February 9, 2020, Sam also shared Carl’s viral video on his Instagram post, where several International singers also admired the blind Tawag ng Tanghalan finalist.

Even The Voice judge and mentor Kelly Clarkson revealed that Carl also charmed her team.

Kelly said: “This video has been going around my team as well! This kid is insane!”

Fellow Filipino singer Nicole Scherzinger praised Carl, while Anastacia Music suggested that Sam go look for him.

Daniel Lismore, a designer, sculptor, and a TED speaker, firmly believes that Carl should be on the Ellen DeGeneres show.
