Despite the controversial wedding of Matteo Guidicelli to Sarah Geronimo, the National Youth Commission recently appointed the actor and Philippine Army reservist as the newest ambassador on Monday, March 2, 2020.
With his appointment as the newest ambassador, Matteo received mixed reactions from netizens. Some were sarcastically asking the NYC about the actor’s contributions if there were any.

Aside from Matteo as the NYC ambassador, a youth group also selected Dingdong Dantes and Gerald Anderson as their ambassadors. During the time when Gerald was appointed as the ambassador, he planned to reach out to more people by implementing more projects related to education and sports.
Gerald stated: “I’m very honored, very proud and I’m very excited kasi meron panibagong platform para makatulong sa ibang tao. Kung ano kaya nating ibigay, ibigay natin sa iba at marami tayong matutunan sa pagtulong sa iba. May plano kami about education, siyempre sports na mas malapit sa puso ko.”
