In an interview with Allan Diones, the first Ultimate BidaMan of It’s Showtime Jin Macapagal revealed that he’s open to having a relationship with someone from the same gender, as gender doesn’t matter for as long as you love the person.
Though he has never experienced it before, Jin stated that you must be proud to love someone regardless of the gender. It has never been an issue with Jin as he’s after the personality of the person.
Jin stated: “Ako naman wala naman kung sino basta kung mahal mo siya, yung pagkatao niya, personality niya, kung sino siya para sayo. Kung mahal mo talaga ipaglalaban mo, magiging proud ka. Di pa naman nangyari sa akin ‘yun, pero ako kasi di naman ako tumitingin sa ganun, sa pagkatao talaga kung sino siya.”
Furthermore, Jin confirmed that Ion Perez’s love for Vice Ganda is genuine, as he can see it in the former’s eyes. In fact, Jin stated if he was Ion, he would never spend time dealing with criticisms.
“I’m happy for them, kala ko baka gimmick, pero totoo, sinabi nga nila sa madla. I’m happy for them kasi kitang-kita na masaya sila, knowing the personality ni Ion, he’s very genuine, kung ano siya, yung talaga siya. Kung saan siya masaya saka nakikita ko sa mga mata niya na masaya siya. Kung ako nasa lugar niya, wala na akong pakelam sa sasabihin ng iba hindi naman mahalaga sila, ang mahalaga kung ano iniisip ng mahal mo.”
