Overseas Workers Welfare Association (OWWA) Deputy Director Mocha Uson took to her Twitter page to thank Megastar Sharon Cuneta for donating money amounting to three million to Angel Locsin’s fundraising initiative #UniTENTweStandPH which aims to provide tents and rooms to overcrowded hospitals to help the medical frontliners and COVID-19 patients as the country still battles with the on-going pandemic.
On Twitter, she wrote, “Salamat po” retweeting Cuneta’s message for Locsin.

Last week, the Megastar received criticisms from netizens who were asking about her and husband Senator Kiko Pangilinan’s contribution in the fight against COVID-19.
Netizens condemned the multi-awarded actress as well as her husband Pangilinan for his alleged lack of response to the COVID-19 crisis despite being an elected senator. Coming from the opposition, some also commented that Pangilinan’s left and right contributions are nothing but ‘staged act’ since he’s a “Dilawan.”
Meanwhile, in response to a basher on Instagram, Locsin defended Cuneta and revealed the whopping three million that Sharon silently donated to her fundraiser. According to Locsin, Cuneta didn’t want her help to be known to the public, however, revealing it seemed to be the only way to silence the bashers who keep on criticizing the veteran actress.
Furthermore, Cuneta defended her husband and pointed out that being silent about their contributions does not mean they are not doing their part in helping flatten the curve and containing the spread of the disease in the country.
Additionally, despite her husband being in the opposition, Cuneta supports the Duterte Administration.
