Pasig City Mayor Vico Sotto announced that the city will disburse a total amount of P1 billion to help its constituents especially those who won’t be receiving Cash Assistance from the Social Amelioration Program.
In an interview with Ted Failon, Mayor Vico said that the City Government withdrew from its trust fund and postponed certain programs to send P8,000 to 150,000 other families.
“Hindi po kailangan na botante. Basta residente ng Pasig bibigyan po.”

Because of the lack of time and data to decide who should or should not receive additional assistance from the city among its residents, Mayor Vico also urged well-off citizens of his city to pass on the financial aid for someone in need.
“Io-open natin sa lahat. Hinihikayat na lang po natin iyong mga may kaya o okay pa na naman na huwag na lang nilang tanggapin iyong tulong or tanggapin nila, ibigay nila sa mas nangangailangan.”
Pasig City will also be distributing food coupons to all public school students in the city which will be worth P400.
“Gusto natin iwasan ‘yung stunting, malnutrition ng ating mga mag-aaral. Sila po yung kinabukasan ng ating lungsod, ng ating bayan, kaya may hiwalay na programa po tayo para sa mga public school students natin,”
