- NTC ordered ABS-CBN to cease its operation.
Kapamilya actress and philanthropist Angel Locsin didn’t take ABS-CBN’s closure sitting down as she issued a strong statement about it.
In a tweet right after ABS-CBN signed off the air, Angel slammed those who find joy in the network’s closure saying she hopes they can still sleep well at night, able to pay bills and that no one will get sick in their family knowing there are thousands of people who will lose their jobs with the shutdown.
Angel also made a series of Instagram posts in support of the embattled network.
In one post, she shared a picture of ABS-CBN logo with a juxtaposed picture of raised fist, indicating resistance.
Another Instagram post meanwhile showed a hug emoticon with a hashtag #MalayangPamamahayag”.
She also reposted a screenshot of Angel Aquino’s Instagram post on her IG story with a caption, “Game.Hindi ako uupo at mananahimik.”
ABS-CBN has been ordered to stop their operations by NTC through their cease and desist order issued late afternoon Tuesday.
