Right after the Congressional hearing on the legislative franchise of ABS-CBN, Gary Valenciano ‘s wife Angeli Pangilinan-Valenciano, took to social media to share her support for ABS-CBN, the home network of her OPM icon husband for the past 17 years.
On her Twitter account, Angeli shared her frustration where she pointed out how government officials of the House of Representatives shamed the bosses of ABS-CBN,
“Do our govt officials have the right to shame bosses of a company that has won hundreds of awards including Best Employer in ASIA?”

Angeli also pointed out that given the fact that her husband had been a contract artist at ABS-CBN for almost two decades, she said that ABS-CBN helped them through their worst moments.
“My own husband has been a contractor for 17 years & when he had a bypass they were there also helping us financially even if Gary was not an employee.”
The bypass surgery Angeli mentioned happened on May 6, 2016.
As she expressed her support for ABS CBN, she also responded to messages she had gotten from netizens.
She said she could not understand the government’s decision to oppose the media network instead of focusing on the 2019 novel coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.
“Thank u for your message. While we understand this, what I don’t understand is the sincerity of the exercise. During a pandemic, watching how these congressmen grilled Sir Gabby, Sir Carlo & Tita Cory as everyone calls her, it’s like shouldn’t we be attending to the COVID crisis?”

Kapamilya singer Edgardo Jose “Gary” Santiago Valenciano or better known as Gary V. married Angeli Pangilinan, the sister of Francis “Kiko” Pangilinan, in August 1984.
