Kapamilya actress Eula Valdes praised ABS-CBN for finding a way for Filipinos to watch their favorite Kapamilya shows, including Love Thy Woman, despite Congress’ killing the network franchise renewal.
During the Love Thy Woman Chikahan session with Sunshine Cruz, Eula, Ruffa Gutierrez and influencer Macoy Dubs on Kapamilya Online Live last Friday, Eula commended ABS-CBN for being able to continue its service to Filipinos in bringing entertainment to their homes.
“Kudos sa kanila na nakagawa sila ng paraan para ituloy iyong show natin kahit na ang daming nangyayari para i-stop lahat, iyong programming, everything sa ABS-CBN.”
Love Thy Woman is one of the first teleseryes to air on the new broadcasting channels of ABS-CBN—Cable and satellite Kapamilya Channel and YouTube and Facebook Kapamilya Online Live—after the franchise was halted and then denied.
“Yet itinuloy pa rin ng ABS na ipalabas iyong show natin, and makagawa ng paraan para mapanuod ng televiewers.”
Love Thy Woman is moving toward its last three weeks on the Kapamilya Channel. Love Thy Woman is also set to air soon on international TV.
Co-star Ruffa also thanked loyal viewers for their support despite platforms being limited to digital and online.
“Ako, gusto ko lang sabihin na talagang all of us, in behalf of all of us, gusto naming magpasalamat sa inyong lahat na hindi kayo bumitaw sa amin. Kahit na isinara na iyong istasyon sa TV, sa free TV, nandiyan pa rin kayo sa Facebook, sa YouTube, number one pa rin kayo.”
Top-billed by Kim Chiu, Yam Concepcion, and Xian Lim, Love Thy Woman is a family story which examines the dark side of love and betrayal.
Eula Valdes is one of the ABS-CBN actors who showed support for Angel Locsin, whom she co-starred with in the teleserye The General’s Daughter, by criticizing Kapamilya artists who continue to remain silent or neutral on the issue of ABS-CBN’s closure.
On her Instagram account, the actress posted a pubmat of Angel calling out fellow Kapamilya stars who keep silent despite their network is being trampled on by the government.
“Ang ABS-CBN ,hindi agad sinasabak ang mga homegrown artists nila, matagal na pinag woworkshop muna, hinuhubog muna sila, kapag hindi pa hinog, hindi pa bibigyan ng project.”
