Veteran actress Rita Avila wasn’t able to control her emotions and once again broke her silence on the incompetence of the government when it comes to dealing with corrupt government officials.
On Instagram, she posted a photo of compiled Pubmats of PhilHealth officials who recently got involved on the 15 billion PhilHeatlh corruption scandal.
Rita also stressed how the government makes Filipinos lives hard especially in this time of a pandemic.
“Parang unti-unti tayong pinipilay eh. Unti-unti tayong pinapatay.

This was not the first time that the actress had expressed her opinion. She questioned the double standards of the DDS’ famous “Law is Law” line and even asked whether it was also applicable to government officials.
“Ano po ang plano dito? Meron po bang Law is Law sa kanila?”

Even before the franchise’s denial, it was clear that ABS-CBN had not violated any legislation. Representatives of the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) and the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) stated that the network had complied with the rules, contrary to the allegations made against the media company.
“They are regularly filing and paying their taxes for the past number of years,” Simplicio Cabantac, Jr., head of a unit of the BIR Large Taxpayers Service, told the Senate Committee on Public Services.
In spite of proving allegations false, the congressional committee still voted 70 against 11 to deny ABS-CBN a new franchise, effectively shutting down the country’s largest media network.
