Several Kapamilya celebrities and political personalities have shared their sentiments on Duterte Diehard supporters’ (DDS) silence on the massive PhilHealth corruption.
In a tweet, former Goin’ Bulilit star John Manalo twitted die-hard Duterte supporters for being more furious against ABS-CBN than in the Philhealth corruption which has a direct impact on every citizen.
“Yung mas galit ka pa sa ABS-CBN kesa sa Phil Health.”
Yung mas galit ka pa sa ABS-CBN kesa sa Phil Health. 🤦🏻♂️

Film Director Dan Villegas also called out DDS’ silence amid the big revelation of corruption of Philhealth officials while they continue to be furious with ABS-CBN which was cleared of any violations.
Parang sa gasolina, tahimik din ang trolls sa Philhealth. Pero sobrang galit sa ABS-CBN.

Former COMELEC commissioner Goyo Larrazabal shared the same sentiments questioning why it seemed that the Philhealth corruption which involved public funds is not important to the DDS and they are silent on it.
“Dami nilang tanong sa ABS issue, pero tahimik sa issue sa paratang sa pag waldas ng pera sa Philhealth? Bakit? Hindi ba importante yung kapakanan ng ordinaryong Pilipino???”

Nikki Valdez, meanwhile, slammed Palace’s statement that Duterte is not inclined to fire Philhealth President Morales.
According to Nikki, that’s clear selective justice compared to what they did to ABS-CBN which was cleared of violations by the SEC, BIR, DOLE, and DOJ.
Pero yung “violations” ng ABSCBN na cleared ng SEC, BIR, DOLE at DOJ ay hindi pinakinggan.
This is a clear case of selective justice. 😣 https://t.co/wCTipjdqbF

Philhealth and its officials are currently in hot water after the Senate inquiry revealed the gravity of corruption inside the state insurer.
According to its former officials, some 15 billion pesos have been stolen to the Philhealth funds by corrupt officials which are composed mostly of executive committee members.
An overpriced Information and Communications Technology project was also revealed amounting to 2.1 billion pesos which according to the hearing was bloated by at least 734 million pesos.
With the losses in Philhealth funds, acting senior vice president for actuarial services Nerissa Santiago said the state insurer is set to collapse by 2022.
“We expect that by 2021, we will be in the red already, so it’s only one year…in terms of the actuarial life,” she said.
PhilHealth has expected a net operating loss of P90 billion in 2020 and, if the COVID-19 crisis continues they expect some P147 billion net loss in 2021 according to Santiago.
