Kapamilya star Vice Ganda opened up about the parts of his body that he had enhanced through plastic surgery during his virtual interview with singer Janine Berdin for a YouTube vlog.
In a rare opportunity, Vice talked about his enhanced features when he talked with Janine who also admitted that she has been under the knife.
Vice mentioned that there is nothing wrong with undergoing plastic surgery because it is a person’s decision for the benefit and enhancement of one’s self. He compares cosmetic enhancement to a gift that is being wrapped or designed beautifully to make it pleasing to the eyes.
He said that Janine may receive comments saying that she should’ve just accepted herself as is but Vice pointed out that there is nothing wrong with enhancing one’s physical features.
“Alam mo, maraming magsasabi na ‘Mali si Janine Berdin. She should have felt happy about herself. Dapat tanggap niya ‘yung sarili niya. Dapat na-aappreciate niya ‘yung sarili niya. Kasi ‘yung laging linya na ‘Yan ‘yung binigay sa’yo ng Diyos eh, ba’t binabago mo?’ Makakarinig ka ng mga ganun,” Vice said.
“Pero ako naman, hindi natin masisisi si Janine. Ang sinasabi ko lang is, para sa akin, walang masama sa ginagawa mo. Kasi ‘yung katawan mo gift ‘yan. Pero hindi ba ang gift natin may kanya-kanya tayong choice kung paano natin babalutin ‘yung regalo. Iba lalagyan ng ribbon para mas maganda; ‘yung iba, bibili ka ng wrap para mas maganda. Para sa akin ganun lang ‘yung ginagawa mo. Ako, ginawa ko rin ‘yon sa sarili ko,” Vice added.
The 44-year-old comedian admitted that he had his eyes, cheeks, and chin done, saying, “Nagpagawa ako ng mata, nagpagawa ako ng pisngi, ng baba, hindi ba? So choice natin kung paano natin ira-wrap ang regalo natin.”
Vice said that the most important gift that a person has is not based on his face but what’s inside a person, which is having a good heart. He said that a person’s outer characteristics are just ‘wrappers’ which conceals the gift within.
“Ang pinakamalaking regalo natin ay hindi naman ‘yung mukha, ‘yung nasa loob, ‘yung puso. ‘Yung puso ang talagang regalo natin. Itong (panlabas) wrapping lang ito ng regalo natin. Ang totoong regalo natin ay ang puso natin,” Vice said.
The comedian-host also admitted that he had never made an enhancement to his nose. He said that he only had his eyes done to make it look more defined and not droopy. As a comedian, he said that it’s important for him not to have sad eyes.
“Hindi pa kasi ako nagpapagawa ng ilong. Ang ipinagawa ko lang ay mata. Kasi ang mata ko ay droopy, malungkot. Sabi nila hindi puwedeng nagpapatawa ka tapos malungkot ang mata. May malungkot na mata at malungkot na kilay kapag nakababa. So kailangan buka ang mata mo at ang kilay mo ay hindi pababa. So nilagyan ako ng talukap. Kasi mataba ang talukap ko. ‘Yun ang ginawa.”
Vice added that he enhanced his cheeks and chin to achieve plumper skin and a younger look in general.
“Tapos sa (pisngi) botox-botox, lifting-lifting. Tapos sa baba, para may baba. Pero ‘yung ilong hindi ko pa napapagalaw eh.”
Regarding Janine’s defined nose, she said that her nose was always her insecurity before that’s why she decided to have it done. The ‘Tawag Ng Tanghalan’ Year 2 Grand Champion also said that she is extremely happy with the result and has become more confident with herself.
“‘Yung biggest insecurity ko po kasi ‘yung nose ko. So ‘yun po ‘yung pina-enhance ko. ‘Yung nose ko lang po,” Janine said.
“Sobrang happy na po talaga ko sa self ko ngayon. And wala, ‘yun lang po talaga ‘yung feeling ko ngayon. Ang happy happy ko the past few weeks lalo na po sa love na pinapakita ng mga tao. Nakaka-happy po. Sobra,” she added.
It can be remembered that Vice also opened up regarding his hip enhancement saying that he does not deny it and even pointed out that men naturally don’t have voluptuous hips.
“Hindi ko dini-deny. Diyos ko! Naku napaka-echosera ko naman kung sinabi kong totoo ito. Wala namang lalaking may balakang.”
