November 2020 – Singapore – After a momentous debut through the release of his critically acclaimed EP, hip-hop artist-to-watch Blxst teams up with fellow LA rapper Dom Kennedy for his latest single, “Got It All.” The record is the first release from the highly anticipated deluxe version of ‘No Love Lost’, out December 4, which features several new tracks and notable collaborations.
Joyous and soulful, “Got It All” features the quintessential West Coast sound with which Blxst has become synonymous. Says Blxst of the single, “to me, Dom Kennedy is the epitome of LA. I look at him like my generation’s Ice Cube. It was only right to link up and capture a classic moment.”
Released in September via Red Bull Records and still riding high off its success, ‘No Love Lost’ debuted at #14 on Billboard’s Heatseekers Albums Chart and #8 on iTunes Top Albums for Hip-Hop/Rap, along with reaching #6 on Rolling Stone’s Breakthrough 25 and #11 on Rolling Stone’s Trending 25 Charts for September. Blxst was also labeled a “Best New Artist” by Pigeons & Planes, while UPROXX called ‘No Love Lost’ one of the “Best Releases of The Week,” receiving additional praise from Zane Lowe, BBC Radio 1, No Jumper, Ty Dolla Sign, Anderson .Paak, and more.
Blxst began his solo music career in 2015 after writing, producing, and honing his sound. He’s been unstoppable ever since, releasing his first single “Who Would’ve Thought” in 2016, and his breakout hit “Hurt” in 2019, which surpassed four million streams at the time of release. As an artist and producer, respect for Blxst’s musical ability continues to grow. From self-editing his music videos and artwork to mixing and mastering his sound, these tools are what positions Blxst as an artist on the rise.
The successful West Coast native has already gained notoriety from working with and producing for artists such as Kendrick Lamar, YG, Eric Bellinger, DJ Mustard, G Perico, Kalan. FrFr, and more. Releasing ‘No Love Lost’ earlier this year, the project is an expansive and emotive collection of music inspired by past relationships and his hometown of Los Angeles, paired with a cinematic series of music videos that brought the project’s overarching narrative to life.
