At the recent launch of Nadine Lustre’s first full-length album, Wildest Dreams, a new version of herself was seen by her loyal fans and her partner in creating the album, her ex-boyfriend James Reid.

In the teaser for her album, Nadine talked about how James and Careless Music helped her create her album.

“I just jumped into it. I really just took out the fear and the doubts because I would always doubt my writing before. I just trusted in the things that I wrote about,” she said.

Asked about the inspiration for the album, Nadine shared a little bit of what occurred on a hike they took two years ago.

“This was in Sagada. ‘Yung lyrics kasi nun, there are really photos to use as kind of like a visual for that song. Pretty much, it’s really just about the hike,” she said.

On the other hand, James praised Nadine for how well did she did on the making of her album, “It’s really what’s in Nadine. This is really the kind of music she wanted to make, the visuals that are inside her head and the things that mean a lot to her, the topics that really resonate with her. It was quite natural the way it all came out.

“When we started making this album, it’s always the most difficult part thinking like, ‘What is this album gonna be about?’ And then I just asked her, if say MYX interviews you, what would you say that the album is about?”

James revealed that the main inspiration for the album is Nadine’s experiences.

“She’s like, ‘Everything that I’ve been through. All the obstacles and challenges I’ve faced, how I grew through them, and where I’m at now.’ That was a starting point for us.”

Modeled after the idea of dreams and influenced by the personal journey of the artist, the album is said to narrate stories of the greatest struggles and life experiences of Nadine, accompanied as part of her visual album by six music videos.

The Filipino actress-singer, armed with a dreamy pop and alt-R&B sound and emotional lyrics, is ready to share an insight into her life with her debut album, Wildest Dreams.

Wildest Dreams is scheduled to premiere on the YouTube channels of Reckless Music and ABS-CBN.

It’s been 10 months since James Reid and Nadine Lustre announced that they’re no longer together, but some loyal fans still can’t seem to be moving on, especially the chemistry that was seen in the teaser of the music video.

The love team of Jadine really started to hit off on the Diary ng Panget: The Movie, based on Denny R’s best-selling novel. The success of the film, which also stars Yassi Pressman and Andre Paras,  paved the way for JaDine to land an exclusive two-year contract with ABS-CBN.

In 2016, James and Nadine made their primetime series debut, with On the Wings of Love, which ended in a grand two-part finale after six months on air. The two soon announced they were officially together.

A year later, they reportedly moved in together.

In early 2020, Nadine and James shocked their fans with the announcement of their breakup on January 20, just days after the tour, via a joint statement released on Tonight with Boy Abunda

“It’s true that we have split up, but not for all the reasons that are being spread on the tabloids and social media, but because after quiet and mature conversations, we decided to focus on ourselves not only for our careers but more for our personal growth as we are still young and we want to achieve as much as we can.”
