Kapamilya host Luis Manzano in an interview with LionhearTV opened up about his online show ‘LuckyNg Tulong’ on his YouTube channel.
Luis shared how they came up with the show and what kind of problems they want to tackle in the program.
“Gusto ko gumawa naman ng isang online show para sa mga tao na may medyo mababaw na problema,” he said.
Separating themselves from other public affairs programs and talk show programs, Luis aimed to have a serious, yet funny interaction with the people who seek their advice.
“So yun ang gusto kong ihain, yung mga ganung klase ng problema na hahaluan namin ng seryosong advice and at the same time eh pag pinagsama mo kami ni kumpanyerong Long Mejia alam mong katarantaduhan,” he added.
The Kapamilya host also took into consideration the chemistry that he and his chosen co-host have had from previous tv shows. In his online show LuckyNg Tulong, he considered comedian Long Mejia as the perfect wingman to deliver a hilarious online program. For him, the chemistry that they’ve formed on ABS-CBN’s Minute-To-Win-It was a perfect fit for it.
Other than that, he jokingly said that Long was the most bankrupt person he knew.
“Siya pinaka ano kasi… siya pinakagipit na kilala ko,” Luis jokingly said.
However, the host said he really wants to help those who had lost their jobs due to ABS-CBN’s franchise loss.
“Siyempre kahit papaano, gusto ko rin tulungan sina Long, Negi para may bago tayong gagawin,” he said in a more serious note.
When choosing what problems are worth discussing, Luis emphasized that they will delve into issues that are light and also will have the most impact on the audience.
And just like the shows that molded his LuckyNg Tulong show, there were also grave topics that would make the viewers’ blood boil.
“…Itong Saturday, eto yung pinakamalapit sa Face to Face at Tulfo. Yung pagkabukas palang ng isa, murahan na sila agad. Matindi! Murahan agad!” the host recalled regarding the latest episode of LuckNg Tulong.
Besides giving advice in order to fix the problems that were not usually tackled on other shows similar to LuckyNg Tulong, Luis said that addressing the more serious problems should be dealt with the proper authorities and not become a ”trial by media” thing.
“May mga issue naman na kaya niyong idaan sa tawanan. May mga issue naman talaga kagaya ng lalabas this Saturday na talagang matindi.”
“Pag yung problema may kinalaman… let’s say droga, o kaya’y may abuse na nangyari whether it be physical abuse (or) sexual abuse. Parang kami naniniwala kami na dapat sa tamang paraan na… sa legal talaga dinadaan yun. Whether it be magsumbong ka sa pulis, or sa abogado talaga to file charges. Kasi parang ayaw naman namin i-tackle yung ganung issue. It has to be the proper venue,” he said.
What he actually wants to avoid is the “damage” that will be inflicted on people that his show may cause.
“…we want to avoid that di ba? Kahit papaano. Kasi sabihin na bawiin mo after a while, yung nangyari, iba pala yung nangyari, still kumbaga the damage has been done,” he added.
Luis is hoping that someday, his show will also be aired on TV like the programs that inspired Luckyng Tulong.
“We’re hoping and praying na alam mo yun na may magustuhan, na let’s say producer o hindi kaya from ABS eh gumawa ng paraan na bigla na lang ipalabas kahit sa Kapamilya channel di ba? Malay natin,” he said.
‘LuckyNg Tulong’ is an online series hosted by Kapamilya celebrity host, Luis Manzano. Together with Long Mejia, all complaints will be heard, all problems will be given a solution.
