President and CEO of ABS-CBN Carlo Katigbak thanked all Kapamilya who supported the network amidst the struggles this year during the ABS-CBN Christmas Special 2020.
Firstly, Katigbak highlighted that Kapamilyas’ support became the best gift they received for Christmas.
“Para po sa amin dito sa ating ABS-CBN, ang pinakamagandang regalo ngayong taon ay ang pagbuhos ng inyong suporta’t pagmamahal,” said Katigbak.
Then, he continued adding that Kapamilyas gave them strength and resiliency to face the struggles they encountered this 2020.
“Nadama po namin yan sa lahat ng nakaraang buwan. Alam po namin na kayo ay nagdasal sa panahon na kami’y may pinagdadaanan. At sigurado po na kayo ang ginamit ng Diyos para kami’y bigyan ng tibay ng loob at lakas ng katawan para sa bawat panibagong araw,” said Katigbak.
Finally, Katigbak said that the trust they received from Kapamilyas warms ABS-CBN’s hearts. He also hopes to return the favor by providing joy, not only this Christmas but every day.
“Nakakataba po ng puso ang inyong pagtitiwala. Kaya ito’y di namin sasayangin. At sisikapin naming masuklian. Hanggang sa aming makakaya, gusto po naming makatulong na gawing mas maligaya ang inyong Pasko at lahat ng araw sa ating buhay,” said Katigbak.

Earlier this year, ABS-CBN faced numerous obstacles such as their franchise denial, their shutdown, retrenchment of their assets and employees, and the pandemic. Thankfully, Kapamilyas remained and continued their support for the network. Because of this, ABS-CBN aims to embrace 2021 despite the lack of franchise and continue serving the Filipino.
