One of the most famous Kapamilya love teams, Bea Alonzo and John Lloyd Cruz, will finally work together again in a movie under Star Cinema.
After a long hiatus, the tandem will reunite in a film set for 2021 entitled No Goodbyes. It will be directed by the award-winning director Cathy Garcia – Molina.
The John Lloyd Cruz and Bea Alonzo tandem was established through the 2003 film My First Romance.
After that, Alonzo and Cruz have continually paired in a series of films, Now That I Have You (2004), Close to You (2006), and All About Love (2006).
Their love team rose to fame because of their iconic roles as Popoy and Basha in the movie hit One More Chance in 2007.
Other films of Bea and John Lloyd together include Miss you Like Crazy (2010) and The Mistress (2012).
In 2015, A Second Chance, the sequel of their film One More Chance became of the highest-grossing Filipino films of all time. It also the last film where the Bea-John Lloyd loveteam was seen.
This year, the famous love team reunited through an Instagram live chat. However, it was not only a reunion, but it was also an experimental movie, directed by Antoinette Jadaone.
Accordingly, the said experimental movie is entitled Love Team which Jadaone labeled as an ‘Unconfined Cinema’.
