Several netizens and social media personalities have blasted Senator Manny Pacquiao and ACT-CIS Partylist Rep. Eric Yap following the latest development in the Christine Dacera Case.
On Wednesday, January 27, different media outlets reported that Dacera died of natural causes based on the medical report by the PNP Crime Lab submitted during the preliminary investigation of the case.
Following the report, several netizens took to Twitter to slam Senator Pacquiao and Rep. Yap over their premature offering of bounty against the persons of interest in the case.
Pinoy Ako Blog suggested that the bounty offered by the 2 “epaliticians” be given instead to those who were falsely accused if they will not publicly apologize.
According to PAB, this will in turn become compensation for the trauma and stress it caused because of the bounty.
“Kung hindi mag apologize, puwede kaya yung bounty na pinatong nila sa ulo ng mga inosente ay ibigay na lang sa kanila? Compensation sa fear of security, trauma, stress, etc.”

Netizen @Don8don3 on the other hand also blasted the lawmakers for destroying innocent people’s lives.

After the news about Dacera’s death broke, Pacquiao and Yap quickly went to the media to offer a bounty for the persons of interest in the case.
Yap initially offered a Php100,000 reward to those who can give information regarding the whereabouts of the men.
Pacquiao then followed with an additional Php500,000 to whoever can give information that will lead to their arrest.
Meanwhile, @akosibonbonbon said the solons should be held accountable for risking the lives of those accused.
