Model-turned-TV host and It’s Showtime! mainstay, Ion Perez revealed how he managed to capture the heart of Vice Ganda. He made the revelation on his YouTube vlog that premiered on February 12.
In the said video, Ion showed how he packs his clothes for his lock-in taping for his upcoming movie ‘Kaka.’ The film will be Ion’s first leading role with his co-star Sunshine Guimary.
He talked about his role in the film and revealed how he won Vice Ganda’s heart.
As he was packing, Ion shared that he loves incorporating denim jackets in his outfits as it makes him look simple and neat.
“Sa mga damit ko, ito yung mga paborito ko, ma-jacket din akong tao dati.
“Mga denim na jacket, ‘yon yung mga gusto kong isinusuot. Kasi yung denim kasi, napakasimple lang tingnan,” he said.
“Nakaputi ka lang, naka-black ka lang na inner, so parang kahit ang baho mo, parang ang bango mo sa paningin ng tao.”
Before becoming a supporting cast in It’s Showtime! Ion was an escort for the show’s segment Miss Q&A. He was dubbed as ‘Kuya Escort’ in the noontime show.
Meanwhile, Perez shared that for his role Libby in his upcoming film, his suit as Kuya Escort in It’s Showtime! will become handy as he will portray a rich character in the film.
“Si Libby, ang character ni Ion sa pelikulang Kaka. Ako’y isang mayaman, anak ng may-ari ng isang kumpanya,” he explained.
“Tamang-tama yung mga suit ko nung ano, ‘Kuya Escort’ ako, magagamit ko ulit, di ba? Sulit na sulit. Sulit.”
Also, he said that his black suit as ‘Kuya Escort’ was the key to winning the heart of his partner Vice Ganda.
“Dun ko nabihag si Meme, sa black suit. May ano yun, may agimat,” he said.
“Alam niyo ba kung paano ko nabihag si Meme, si betla?
“Magsuot lang kayo ng black suit, black bowtie, orange, saka pink.
“Makapangyarihan yun.”
Ion Perez and Vice Ganda’s relationship first unfolded on It’s Showtime! segment Miss Q&A where Ion was an escort. They officially revealed their relationship around October 2019.
The two have been a couple for about three years now.
