Kapamilya actress Jane De Leon admitted that she wanted to quit showbiz early on in her career.
At the press conference for Jane’s role in FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano, she revealed that she once wanted to quit the entertainment industry. She also highlighted going through a phase, like every other artist, when the toxicity was overwhelming.

She also admitted feeling hopeless because of the lack of opportunities or breaks early on in her career.
Jane also recounted the struggles she faced when she began her career in showbiz. She shared experiences such as commuting, sharing crackers with her mom, sleeping in the dressing room, and even encountering a robbery incident.
“Kasi syempre taga-Laguna ako, nag-cocommute lang talaga kami before ni Mommy. Isipin mo yung Skyflakes, nagsha-share lang kami dun. Kaming dalawa lang. And, naggi-Girl Trends pa ko nun before, so kapag wala kaming pamasahe pauwi san kami natutulog, sa dressing room lang,” said Jane.
She even recounted the time when she heard that ABS-CBN Executives had to shelve her movie project Darna.
However, amidst all the struggles she faced, Jane remained positive. Firstly, she said that she surrendered all of her worries to God.
“And, ayun shinare ko po yun lahat kay Lord, sinurrender ko lahat sa kanya ng mga worries ko,” said Jane.
Then, she trusted herself despite all the hardships she had to go through.
“Tiwala lang talaga. Promise sobrang tiwala lang,” said Jane.
Then, she also recalled not losing hope even if they had to shelve the Darna movie.
Jane joins the cast of the long-running teleserye, FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano, as Police Captain Natalia Mante. She will also fly soon as the new Darna with the upcoming teleserye.
