Viva Artist Agency (VAA) talent Diego Loyzaga had a couple of people who impacted his life big-time—his father and Barbie Imperial.
During the media conference of the Filipino adaptation of the Korean series, Encounter, Loyzaga shared that his “encounter” moment in life was because of two people.
First, is when he met his father for the first time, actor Cesar Montano.
“Siguro one of the first encounters I had, a big one for me, when I was younger, I first met my dad,” said Loyzaga.
But the other person whom he met that changed his life is his now-girlfriend Barbie Imperial.
“And siguro one reason was definitely when I met my friend-girlfriend at the time na si Barbie. So yun, two big encounters in my life,” the young actor shared.
Diego took a two-year hiatus from showbiz.
The reason is that he wanted to take care of his mental health.
Loyzaga felt that he was being drained by the career he took.
“I took a well-needed break. May kasabihan na if it’s too much, it’s always to better take a break than force it,” he said.
Nevertheless, he is now working again after he took a moment to contemplate his life and plans for the future.
“As simple as it is, I just needed to take a break and reflect on what I want to do. 5 years, in 10 years, and what career path I want to take, I wanted to go back to study, stuff like that. So it’s just some time to reflect,” he added.
In Encounter, Loyzaga will be playing Gino, a young and free-spirited guy who falls in love with Celine, a recently divorced CEO of a hotel. However, their relationship is in for a bumpy road because of their age difference, along with many complications.
