Edward Barber cornered Maymay Entrata with an intriguing question: “Is there still a chance?”
On Thursday, May 20, in the episode of the Kumu live show dubbed as Kwentong Barber, Entrata was shocked by Barber’s question.
Though Barber did not explain the question, the young female star already knew what he was trying to imply.
Entrata said that she does not want to give people false hopes so, she wants to speak up about her true feelings.
As the saying goes, once trust is broken, it will never be the same again.
“Kagaya ng sinabi mo kanina yung mga pagkakamaling nagawa. Ang pinakamahirap kasi sa ‘kin kapag nasira na ‘yung tiwala. Ang hirap mabalik.
“Alam mo yun, kahit bigyan natin ng mahabang panahon para mabigyan ng pagkakataon na para may maging chance pero alam natin sa sarili natin na mahirap maibalik yung tiwala na nawala.”
This trust issue of Entrata is a result of all her experiences with people who inflicted much pain to her.
In the same episode, Entrata and Barber also admitted that their love team went through a problem last year, but they did not give much detail about it.
Last year, they also said that they will remain only as friends and have no plans of proceeding to the next level.
“Pareho po namin na-realize that being the best of friends will even be more beneficial for us. Mas kumportable kami makakapagtrabaho. Wala pong pagbabago. Kami pa din ang magkasama dahil there’s no one else we would rather work with than each other,” Entrata shared her thoughts.
“Pero, may pag-asa na maibalik yung pagiging komportable natin sa isa’t isa bilang una at pinakamalapit na kaibigan sa pagsisimula natin sa industriya. At kahit anong mangyari nandito pa rin naman ako para suportahan ka.
“Ayoko rin magpaasa lalo na’t sa ngayon nahanap ko yung saya na gusto ko. At nahanap ko yung saya na yun nung panahon na walang kahit sinong tumulong nandyan para sa ‘kin.”
Entrata also assured Barber that she already forgive him and said that she saw how the young male star has improved. With this, she is confident that Barber can easily find the right person for him.
As he expects to receive comments after the interview, Barber said: “Maymay and I are completely honest with what we have. People will try to twist it or give their opinions, God bless you.”
