Actress Iza Calzado will remain as a Kapamilya despite having project offers from rival networks GMA Network and TV5 network.
Given the current situation of the ABS-CBN network with its shutdown, many Kapamilyas already considered grabbing job opportunities from other networks.
However, Calzado was said of remaining a Kapamilya despite the offers from other networks.
According to an article by PEP, the manager of Calzado, Noel Ferrer, mentioned that after the drama series of the actress “Ang Sa Iyo Ay Akin” concluded, there were already project offers for the actress.
It was reported that Calzado received offers from TV5 with the group of Perci Intalan and Jun Lana as well as offers for a Kapuso show.
“Puwera pagbubuhat ng bangko, after the success of Ang Sa Iyo Ay Akin in ABS-CBN ay may offer ang aking talent na si Iza Calzado na teleserye sa TV5 with the group of Perci Intalan and Jun Lana, at meron ding nagtanong for a show sa GMA-7,” said Ferrer.
Calzado’s manager also noted that while they are thankful for the offers, the actress is already set to renew her contract with the ABS-CBN network.
“While we are flattered with the offers, we made it known to them that Iza was supposed to be one of the stars who were offered to sign a renewal of her network contract sa Kapamilya network na ka-batch nina Gary V. But, hindi siya makaalis sa HBO shoot niya kay Mik Red. Direk Lauren Dyogi categorically told her that, “You, Iza, will be a Kapamilya forever.”
Meanwhile, Iza Calzado recently showed her support to ABS-CBN as the network recently marked its 1st anniversary of being shut down last May 5.
The actress posted on her Instagram account an art card of ABS-CBN with the words “ANDITO KAMI PARA SA’YO.”

She said that despite ABS-CBN’s shutdown, the network is still living up to its tagline of being ‘in the service of the Filipino.’
“A year after the shutdown, the network is still doing what they have always promised to do — to be of service to the Filipino people,” Calzado wrote in the captions.
Other celebrities and personalities also shared their commemoration posts for ABS-CBN as they reminisced the network’s shut down after a year.
Celebrities like Vhong Navarro, Anne Curtis, Jugs Jugueta, Kim Chiu, and Vice Ganda showed their support for their home network.
