After months of speculations, Johnny ‘Mr. M’ Manahan have finally ended the rumors as he is now officially part of GMA Network!
Today, July 13, the Kapuso Network announced Mr. M’s switch as they welcomed one of the industry’s known star-builders into their midst.
In September 2020, Mr. M left Star Magic, the talent arm of ABS-CBN, which he headed and served as a consultant for 28 years. Mariole Alberto took over his position, which Direk Laurenti Dyogi then replaced on January 1, 2021.
Mr. M switched to TV5, where he directed the now-defunct Sunday Noontime Live under Brighlight Productions.
After his short stint with the Kapatid Network, Mr. M was speculated to be going to GMA Network next.
Mr. M is the man behind the “magic”. He co-founded ABS-CBN’s Star Magic in 1992 with Freddie Garcia. He was also the reason why many Kapamilya artists are making strides in their respective careers, as he managed them during his Kapamilya days.
Manahan was the mastermind behind the successful careers of stars Piolo Pascual, Bea Alonzo, John Lloyd Cruz, Angelica Panganiban, Liza Soberano, Enrique Gil, Kathryn Bernardo, Daniel Padilla, Coco Martin, and a lot more.
The switch of both Mr. M will be a game-changer for the Kapuso Network as these two were known to be the star builders of ABS-CBN.
