Former Pinoy Big Brother housemates Kaori Oinuma and Rhys Miguel still can’t believe that after years of training under the Star Magic management, they will have their break as lead stars of their first movie Love at First Stream.
The tandem feels surreal as they will find their way on screen portraying leads in the said film.
Directed by the one and only Cathy Garcia-Molina, the unique film is a project of Star Cinema and Kumu, the largest live streaming platform and social entertainment in the country.
Miguel shared his experiences and expectations as to how the project affected and made him a rising star of the industry.
“Sobrang maraming emotions ang nararamdaman ko. Super excited. Una, happy. Super unbelievable talaga. Hindi ako naniniwala na totoo na. Kasi dati pangarap ko lang tapos ngayon unti-unti nagiging totoo na ang pangarap ko. Just like when I am talking about it parang [kinikilig] ako,” he shared on Inside News of Star Magic on Tuesday, July 13.
For Oinuma, she is still in awe as to how things went to her career so far.
“Sobrang hindi pa rin ako makapaniwala na magkakaroon ako ng movie. After PBB, ‘di ba parang nakaka-two years, three years na ako sa industry. Oh my gosh sobrang grateful ako na ito na nga parating na ang first-ever movie ko at idi-direk pa siya ni Direk Cathy. So parang grabe, sobrang blessed ako, sobrang grateful,” Kaori shared.
Both young and upcoming stars never fail to be grateful for the opportunities that came their way as they continue to work for their dreams in showbiz.
Meanwhile, Molina revealed that the story will truly touch hearts as it will revolve around a relatable theme and plot.
“Our title might seem na parang siyang pang bagets kasi ‘Love at First Stream.” True enough, they are [youngsters]. Pero lagi lang huwag kalimutan na nandito po ako to represent my generation… para siyang love letter to each generation,” Cathy revealed.
Kaori and Rhys will play the character of Meg, a sweet and intelligent girl, and Gino described as a family guy, respectively.
“I will do anything to make my family proud and then ginagamit ko naman ang Kumu to help me escape from realities ng world ko, ‘yung mga stress and whatnot,” he talked about his role in the movie.
“Masasabi ko na running for Magna Cum Laude ako. So medyo brainy ako rito. Pagdating naman sa pamilya, ako ang peacemaker ng pamilya. So kapag may nag-aaway, ako palagi ‘yung pumapagitna ganyan. Ako minsan parang sa pressure ng nakapaligid nage-escape naman ako papunta sa Kumu. So doon nagi-stream ako, doon ako nalalabas lahat,” she shared about her character.
To date, Oinuma and Miguel are part of the cast of the popular and top-trending Wattpad series adaptation He’s Into Her, starring Donny Pangilinan and Belle Mariano as lead stars.
