The transfer of one the most prominent Kapamilya star builders to GMA Network would definitely mean big changes to the Network’s talent arm, GMA Artist Center (GMAAC).

Johnny “Mr. M” Manahan has transferred to the Kapuso Network as announced today, July 13. They are expected to be part of its talent agency, GMAAC.

The credibility of Mr. M is widely known throughout the entertainment industry. He founded ABS-CBN’s Star Magic in 1992 with Freddie Garcia. He was responsible for the illustrious career of Piolo Pascual, Bea Alonzo, John Lloyd Cruz, Angelica Panganiban, Liza Soberano, Enrique Gil, Kathryn Bernardo, Daniel Padilla, Coco Martin, and a lot more.

He then served as Star Magic’s consultant until his leave in September 2020.

He is one of the star builders of this country and behind the most iconic shows on Philippine television.

He directed the legendary shows Chika-Chika Chicks, Palibhasa Lalake, Tonight with Dick and Carmi, and Abangan Ang Susunod Na Kabanata, which made the artists in the show successful in their respective careers.

The 74-year-old Filipino film and television director, actor, and writer is also a master of creating variety shows like ABS-CBN’s ASAP (All-Star Sunday Afternoon Party), the longest-running musical variety show in the Philippines, and has been showing every Sunday since February 5, 1995.

Mr. M is also behind some of the biggest concerts both in the Philippines and abroad.

In his time in ABS-CBN, he directed its specials like Ms. Earth pageants, even becoming a resident director of both Miss Philippines Earth and Miss Earth for several years; the Christmas and anniversary specials of ABS-CBN, celebrity weddings and debut specials of celebrities, and many other important shows of the network.

Now that he is in GMA Network, Mr. M, who was a valuable asset to ABS-CBN’s success throughout these years, are expected to make some developments in his stay as Kapuso.

This would mean that Kapuso talents are in for a treat in terms of developing their career as well as their upcoming projects with GMA Network.

What do you think are the coming changes in GMA Network now that Mr. M are officially part of their artist center?
