On August 21, Kapuso actor Alden Richards denied rumors of having a teleserye project with the newly-welcomed Kapuso Bea Alonzo during the media conference for the season break of GMA Network’s teleserye, The World Between Us.
Richards said he was only aware of a movie project with Alonzo.
“Based on my knowledge po, movie pa lang po ‘yung pagsasamahan namin. And, wala pa naman pong naibibigay sa akin na word kung may gagawin kami na teleserye.”
However, he doesn’t close his doors to the possibility of having a teleserye with the new Kapuso.
“So titignan ko po kung ano pong advice ng aking mga bossing po. Pero for now, ‘yung movie po ang tuloy. Tatapusin ko lang po ‘yung The World Between Us.”
GMA Network confirmed a movie project with Richards and Alonzo during the former Kapamilya’s contract signing. Aside from the movie project, reports say that Alonzo also has an upcoming teleserye with the network.
As for Richards, his teleserye The World Between Us along with Jasmine Curtis-Smith and Tom Rodriguez will be taking a season break starting August 27.
The number one teleserye in the Philippines will return on November 15.
According to the showrunners, they halted filming because of the recent lockdowns implemented during the enhanced community quarantine (ECQ).
Kapuso viewers can watch Legal Wives, Endless Love, and Penthouse on GMA Primetime while Alden’s teleserye is on a season break. For those who missed The World Between Us, they can stream catch-up episodes on the iQIYI streaming app.
