Paolo Contis and LJ Reyes allegedly broke up after outgrowing their relationship.
This was revealed by entertainment news writer and Contis’ talent manager Lolit Solis via Instagram on Sunday, August 22.
She also clarified that no third party was involved in their breakup, thus clearing Yen Santos’ name.
Contis and Santos were paired up in the film A Faraway Land.
Solis wrote, “Naku ha, smokescreen naman masyado iyon tsismis na isinasali sa hiwalayan Paolo Contis at LJ Reyes iyon pangalan ni Yen Santos Salve. Open secret naman o silent whisper kung sino talaga ang karelasyon ni Yen Santos noh! Huwag na siyang isali at baka kung ano pa ang lumabas. Mas shocking pa ang mangyari.”
According to her, the couple decided to end their relationship and stay as friends because they don’t want things to worsen.
“Walang 3rd party sa hiwalayan Paolo Contis at LJ Reyes. It was a matter of na outgrow na nila ang romance sa kanilang relasyon. Kesa naman humantong pa sa pag aaway, mas gusto na nila na maghiwalay ng maayos, at dasal na mag end as friends. Huwag na natin idamay pa si Yen Santos dahil may sarili siyang love story kaya hindi siya kasali sa love life nila Paolo at LJ noh!” Solis stated.

In an interview on July 2021, Reyes implied that her relationship with Contis is almost as good as being married.
“Hopefully napakita ko sakanya yung support ko. Parang mas naging team kami ngayon. Parang mas na explore mo yung pagiging team. Kasi kailangan meron kayong plano. Kailangan pagusapan yung mga bagay.
“Kailangan open, may communication. Marunong kayong mag compromise” Reyes said.
“Ang plano namin is to spend our lifetime together, to raise our family together,” she added.
Contis and Reyes’ rumored breakup surfaced online after netizens noticed that photos of the actress were deleted in Contis’ Instagram account.
As of this moment, the two still remain silent about the issue.
Reyes gave birth to her child, Summer Ayana, with Contis on January 4, 2019. She also has a son, Aki, with actor Paulo Avelino.
