Kapuso actor Rayver Cruz revealed in a virtual press conference Thursday, September 9, that a movie with Limitless Star Julie Anne San Jose is currently in the making.
“Coming back sa mga movies, nakalimutan ko lang sabihin, before the pandemic, may ginagawa kaming movie ni Julie Anne San Jose with the GMA Films,” he revealed during the virtual press conference after his contract renewal with GMA Network.
Unfortunately, due to the pandemic, the film’s production was postponed.
“Eh na-stop lang dahil sa pandemic. Pero ayun, excited na ulit akong bumalik at gumawa nang mga pelikula kung meron man.”
Nevertheless, they were just checking when would be the safest time to resume their taping since the production was already halfway.
“I think so. Kasi marami na rin kaming nakunan. Parang half way na rin so chine-check na lang nila kung kailan p’wede mag-resume,” he said.
Cruz and San Jose had performed countless times in All-Out Sundays (AOS) as a pair. But this time, with the actor’s contract renewal, he aspires to collaborate with the Limitless Star on a song.
“Hindi ko pa nababanggit kay Jules ‘yon eh! S’yempre nahiya rin ako [kasi] masyadong magaling si Jules eh.
“Although sa AOS, palagi kaming magka-duet. Eh nakakatuwa nga kasi kapag s’ya ang ka-duet ko sa AOS, kampante ako kasi alam kong and’yan siya.
“Alam mo yung kahit na walang solid legit na singer, makakanta mo ng maayos. Pero yun nga, sana soon, sana maka-collab ko s’ya na kung ano man sa… eh magaling din gumawa ng kanta si Jules eh,” he hoped.
When asked what makes the multi-talented singer different from other artists, Cruz pointed that San Jose can be described as a ‘total package’ as a performer.
“Lahat ginagawa n’ya when it comes to performing eh. Ang galing niyang humataw, ang galing niyang sumayaw.
“Kapag binigyan mo s’ya ng concert-type na parang sing and dance, kayang-akaya n’ya, madali for her.
“Tapos ‘pag binigyan mo s’ya ng biritan lang, madali for her. Sobrang husay n’ya as an artist talaga sa music industry and kitang-kita naman sa dami ng views n’ya, sa Spotify and sa YouTube ‘di ba?
“Tsaka unique ang voice n’ya, unique yung voice ni Jules. Alam mong ‘pag narinig mo, s’ya yun eh.”
Cruz top-billed the Kapuso show Nagbabagang Luha and will be hosting the second season of The Clash together with San Jose, Rita Daniela, and Ken Chan.
