Kim Atienza, on October 14, admitted that after his transfer to GMA Network, he has been busier than ever.
“It’s been very busy, the past two weeks have been very busy for me and I enjoy it. Kasi to be busy nowadays nga, ano ‘yon blessing yun para sa akin,” he said during the media conference of his latest infotainment show Dapat Alam Mo!
Kuya Kim also expressed his gratitude to GMA Network’s Vice President for News and Public Affairs, Nessa Valdellon, for making him feel at home with his new network.
“I’d like to thank Nessa Valdellon for fascilitating everything and making everything easy for me, naging mentor ko pagpasok ko ng GMA-7 dahil parang tumalon ako sa isang bagay na hindi ko talaga alam, or what to expect eh,” he said.
He also shared how the rumors about the Network’s pleasant environment were true as he said, “I’ve heard many good things about the culture in GMA-7 from where I was, ABS-CBN. Naging very busy ako.”
After joining GMA Network, Kuya Kim then revealed that he had felt the warm welcome as he had several tapings, pictorials, and mediacons. He even guested in AHA!, which was the rival of his former Kapamilya show Matanglawin.
“Last week ang dami kong taping, ang daming OBB, pictorial, mga mediacon, nag-guest na ako sa ilang mga show. Kanina, I guested in Aha!”
The “trivia man” also said that he and his co-hosts Emil Sumangil and Patricia Tumulak would be very busy these coming weeks to prepare for an “extraordinary” newscasting.
“This coming week, magiging very busy kami ni Emil at ni Patricia dahil ang rehearsal sa show na ito ay napakatindi eh.
“Dahil hindi ito ordinaryong newscast ito eh. Hindi ito yung pagkatapos ang linya mo p’wedeng umupo at magpahinga, hindi eh.
“Alam mo, all throughout the one-hour of this newscast, ang pahinga lang namin ay commercial break eh. All throughout the newscast nakatayo kami and paikut-ikot kami eh. Ganoon ka-intense… ang bilis at pagka-alert ka dapat sa newscast na ito,” shared Kuya Kim.
He even noted that they could not be caught lazy since all cameras were at them.
“Pagka nalingat ka ng kaonti, matatanga ka at mahuhuli ka ng camera na tanga eh. That’s why I’m so excited. Gagaling ako dito.”
It can be recalled that Kuya Kim recently joined GMA Network’s roster of talents. He was officially introduced on October 4 via the Network’s own news and current affairs program 24 Oras.
Dapat Alam Mo! will start on October 18 and air every weekday, at 5:30 p.m., on GTV.
