On November 12, Star Magic Head Direk Lauren Dyogi addressed netizens who expressed concerns with the Pinoy Big Brother Voting rules, which changed during the run of the reality TV show.

Via Twitter, a netizen reacted to the sudden change in voting mechanics and the apparent zeroing out of previous votes sent by the audiences.

Dyogi addressed the netizen, noting that they didn’t zero out the votes.

Hi Shen! its not back to zero, all votes since Sunday will be counted. Kumu just needed to reset it's campaign page.

— Direk Lauren (@direklauren) November 11, 2021

He also pointed out that the Kapamilya network encountered difficulties during the first week of nominations which impeded the implementation of their new voting mechanics.

We wanted to start it last week but backend was not ready, this week its on KUMU, next week 48-hour unli-voting will include SMS. This is in response to requests for more chances to vote for their favorite HM.

— Direk Lauren (@direklauren) November 11, 2021

He also addressed another netizen with a similar concern, citing the technical issues.

hi Sheila! we wanted it last week during the 1st nomination but could not start it because of technical issues. Thanks.

— Direk Lauren (@direklauren) November 11, 2021

He then answered another netizen who voiced his concerns about using KUMU to vote, noting that the app has been their partner since the last season of PBB.

Hi Jez! Kumu is our major partner for these past 2 seasons. kaya KUMUnity.

— Direk Lauren (@direklauren) November 11, 2021

Dyogi also added that they intended to launch a 48-hour unli voting period the week prior.

it was really a 48hour unli-voting na dapat nagsimula last week. Will ask team to explain better tomorrow. Thanks.

— Direk Lauren (@direklauren) November 11, 2021

He also explained that the 48-hour period gives supporters equal chances for voting.

Good morning! It's equal chances for everyone, you all have the same opportunity to vote more for the hm you like to save for "48hrs unli-voting". A smaller fandom can now match those with bigger fandoms thru voting more.

— Direk Lauren (@direklauren) November 12, 2021

He also noted that they had to adapt to the changes they faced recently.

Also, wag kang mapagod, life has a lot of turns and changes that are unexpected. That's what's happenning to us now. Learn to adapt fast and move on. Those who keep complaining suffer the most.

— Direk Lauren (@direklauren) November 12, 2021

Finally, he thanked the netizens who voiced their concerns and expressed their support to the PBB housemates.

yes its a good mix. and personally i like all housemates to stay.

— Direk Lauren (@direklauren) November 11, 2021

thanks for supporting Albie.

— Direk Lauren (@direklauren) November 11, 2021

Thanks for watching and supporting PBB10. Its one of are most popular season to date.

— Direk Lauren (@direklauren) November 11, 2021

Recently, PBB: Kumunity Season 10 announced that they plan to use virtual gifts in the KUMU app to save or evict nominated housemates during the voting period.
