Cristy Fermin revealed why Willie Revillame’s GMA Show, Wowowin, is just airing replay episodes.
Since Monday, January 3, Wowowin has only been airing replays instead of its usual live episodes.
The viewers got curious about the reason behind such. Some were even worried about Revillame’s health condition.
In Fermin’s YouTube show Cristy Ferminute, streamed live on January 6, she revealed that Revillame is just being cautious about the new Omicron variant of COVID-19.
She explained that some of Revillame’s co-workers tested positive from the COVID variant that is why the host is in a self-quarantine.
“Ganito po ang nangyari. Kaya po siya wala sa Wowowin [dahil sa] pag-iingat po sa kanyang sarili, sa kanyang mga mahal sa buhay at katrabaho.
“May mga nag-positive siyang kasamahan sa programa at ang pinakamatindi, nag-positive po ang kanyang make-up artist. Naka-quarantine po si Willie pitong araw,” said Fermin.
She also said that Revillame is scared nowadays due to the threats e coronavirus brings.
“Sabi nga niya ‘Nakakatakot ang panahon ngayon, hindi mo alam kung sino ang mayroon at kung sino ang wala.'”
However, Fermin noted that Revillame wants to be back with the show and air live episodes again. She said that if everything goes well, the Wowowin host will be back in the show on Monday, January 10.
On December 1, 2021, Wowowin landed on the 5th spot in the AGB Nielsen rating chart. However, the show remains the number one variety show nationwide.
