On January 3, TV host Iya Villania-Arellano and celebrity chef Jose Sarasola shared details about the recipes and dishes fans should look out for in Eat Well, Live Well. Stay Well’s third season.
During the media conference for season three of the Ajinomoto cooking show, Villania-Arellano said they want to make celebrations at home special amid the pandemic.
“So this time, because we’re still in the pandemic, ang saya! Of course, we want to make celebrations at home, ‘special’ pa rin because that’s what we’ve been all been having to resort to we have to stay home. And we have to keep the family safe, so we celebrate by staying home and making these celebrations ‘special’ pa din at home through the special meals that we prepare.”
Sarasola added that their new season caters to ‘special,’ ‘yummy,’ and ‘healthy food’ for Filipinos amid the pandemic.
“Since we all can’t really go out pa rin na full blast kasi medyo umangat nanaman ‘yung mga cases, I think our recipes really cater to really something that you can do ‘special, and yummy, and of course, super healthy [food]’ in your own kitchen.”
Villania-Arellano highlighted the home dishes they have in store for the third season of Eat Well, Live Well, Stay Well.
“Madami kaming bago this season. Actually masaya din kasi madami kaming dishes na sobrang magugustuhan ng mga Pinoy. And I’m sure they’re probably something they often have in their houses pero magagawa namin in a different way para maiba naman siya.”
She noted their upcoming recipes for tilapia and eggplant omelet [tortang talong].
“Tulad ng sinanglay na tilapia, at tsaka ‘yung even the way we cooked it na may gata, ugh my goodness. Tapos ‘yung pechay, may wrap pa ‘yung pechay I think that’s something new that will be offering.
“Even tortang talong, even as simple as tortang talong, we want to make these dishes ’cause I’m sure ‘yung mga mommy natin nauubusan na rin ng mga ideas even I’m guilty of it. So minsan that’s why you watch these shows para magkaroon ka ng mga bagong ideas.”
Sarasola emphasized the twists they plan to put into regular house dishes.
“Yeah, I think the tortang talong is a perfect example kasi basic lang ‘yung tortang talong but then with the twist that we added and of course using Ajinomoto kumbaga ni-level up talaga namin na kailangan talaga.
“Kailangan talaga abangan ng mga Kapuso ‘yung mga twist sa mga very simple recipes na syempre you have a different take on it para ‘yung families mag-enjoy sa bahay.”
