On January 25, actress Rita Avila posted a scalding reply to a netizen on her facebook account.

Avila posted her thoughts about presidential candidate Ferdinand ‘Bongbong’ Marcos Jr.’s interview with Boy Abunda.
She noted that the Filipinos needed honesty, transparency, and truth.
She then expressed her excitement about Vice President Leni Robredo’s turn.
However, a netizen named Mergie Sajulan Makiling commented on her post, noting “anu kaya isasagot ni leni bukas” followed by a barrage of face with tears of joy emojis.
It prompted Avila to reply to the comment, which led to her “savage” reply.
She extensively advised Makiling to stop reading fake news so that the netizen could avoid getting labeled “tanga” by her peers commenting on the post.
Wag tiktok at fake news ha? Pilipino #DiKaTanga
“DH KA NA MAY PUSO AT MAAYOS NA PAG-IISIP. OK?
Her no-nonsense reply sparked a following on twitter, with other netizens hailing Avila as a “savage” bestfriend.
