Wondering about all those mysterious #LookUp banners and signages all over Makati Central Business District saying Ayala Avenue is booked on April 28? The mystery is finally revealed.

Ayala Avenue is truly booked for the launch of Makati, Fifty Years and Forward, a new coffee table book and the first of its kind that chronicles the important stories that made the country’s premier address and financial hub into an ever-evolving global city.

To celebrate this launch and the milestones of the district, Ayala Land is treating Makatizens and visitors to stunning giant visual projections of the book and the iconic images of the people, art, architecture, culture and heritage of Makati. It’s a one-of-a-kind experience with buildings becoming screens to showcase Makati’s rich history!

Catch the stunning displays at Tower One and Exchange Plaza, VGP Building, and Makati Stock Exchange building. Happening from April 28 to May 5 at 6:30 PM to 12MN.

Published by the Makati Central Estate Association Inc. (MACEA), the association of property owners within CBD, Makati, Fifty Years and Forward provides readers a greater appreciation on how the first-ever planned urban development in the country. Col. Joseph R. McMicking, Alfonso Zobel de Ayala, Enrique Zobel de Ayala, and Jaime Zobel de Ayala are the four visionaries who led the master planning of Makati. This would become the blueprint for many property projects in the Philippines, and even the rest of Southeast Asia. Makati, Fifty Years and Forward is made possible with the full support of Ayala Land, the main catalyst in turning then Hacienda Makati into a dynamic community it is today.

The hefty 300-page book features essays from the author and project director Lisa Guerrero Nakpil on how Makati thrived to become one of the country’s top addresses, new images of the city by legendary photographer Wig Tysmans, Patrick Diokno, and Paul Quiambao that capture the energy of the district, and never-before-seen pictures of the Makati CBD master plan and its development throughout the years.
