Carrying this year’s theme, “Reel Reflections,” Cinemalaya once again shines the spotlight on films that explore the many faces of the Filipino experience. One of the afternoon’s biggest highlights was the unveiling of the nine full-length films competing for the prestigious Balanghai Trophy. The official lineup includes A.ni.mál, 2 Valid IDs, Ganggang, Hand of God, Mag-iina, Kaka sa Yawan, Status: Rejected, Tayo Lang ang Nakakaalam, and Tirik.
