On April 13, Pop Diva Kuh Ledesma went to Pasig Market and handed out pamphlets to show support for presidential aspirant Leni Robredo.
Ledesma sported a pink-themed attire, echoing Robredo’s political party colors. She handed out prayer pamphlets to market-goers and households during her stay in Pasig Market.
During the event, she urged the people to vote for Robredo, stating that she showed her support for the presidential aspirant because of her love for the country.
“First time ko po na gawin ito, dahil mahal ko ang ating bayan. Hindi po ito para kay Leni, para po sa atin ito. Para po ito sa ating bayan. Si Leni ay para sa ating bayan.”
She then described Robredo as the first candidate with a ‘right heart.’
“First time po na magkakaroon tayo ng Presidente na maayos ang puso. At ibibigay ang lahat para makatulong sa ating lahat–mayaman, lalo na sa mahirap.
“Sana po ay bigyan ninyo ng pagkakataon ang mga tamang kandidato, pati na si Kiko at ang mga pinili ni Leni na mga Senador.”
Other celebrities have also shown support for Robredo and her campaign, with some of them like Jake Ejercito and Marjorie Barretto going house to house like Ledesma.
