Kapamilya broadcast journalist Karen Davila commends incoming Senator Robin Padilla on his decision to leave the entertainment industry and concentrate on his job in the Senate.

In a tweet, Davila praised Padilla’s moves saying winning showbiz candidates should not treat the Senate as a bonus or stature post.

She also added that the Filipino people deserve nothing less from its public servants and that the people should always demand politicians to do they’re job and always show up.

“GOOD MOVE Sen Robin Padilla  Winning showbiz candidates should stop treating the senate like a bonus or just a stature post. Let us demand they do the work, show up and be active. The Filipino people deserve no less”

Karen’s tweet was a reaction to Padilla’s recent statement after his proclamation as Senator, saying he decided to leave showbiz and concentrate on lawmaking.

“Mahalaga sa akin magtrabaho na ako para pagtuunan ang mga reporma sa batas.

“Last movie ko na yon. Mananatili na lang yung show ko sa TV. Pero sa showbiz, last ko na ‘yon.”

Padilla was among the 12 senators proclaimed by the Commission on Elections (COMELEC) on Wednesday, May 18.

He ranked number 1 among all the senatorial candidates in the May 9 elections, garnering 26,612,434 total votes.
