The Kapuso series Widow’s Web achieved record-high ratings during its pilot week from April 25 to April 29.
GMA Network’s first ‘suspenserye’ surpassed the ratings of FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano, so it climbed up to the third spot in the AGB Nielsen rating chart.
On April 25, the finale week of Widow’s Web started with an 11.0% rating, ranking third on the leaderboards.
The following day, FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano reclaimed the third spot as Widow’s Web earned 10.4%, 0.8% behind the Kapamilya show.
However, on April 27, Widow’s Web returned to third place as it scored an 11.5% rating.
On April 28, it improved its rating to 11.6%, with a 0.9% lead against FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano.
Its finale episode recorded a 12.2% rating, its highest rating since its debut on February 28.
On YouTube, its finale episode also recorded around 900k views for its 4-part episode.
It was also one of the trending topics on Twitter that day. Netizens and viewers applaud the show for giving thrills and excitement until its last episode.

Widow’s Web revolved around the mystery of Alexander’s death. The crime was discovered to be committed by Alexander’s brother, Vladimir (Adrian Alandy).
According to a flashback, Alexander was apparently alive after being shot and falling into the pool.
Another character watched Alexander battling for his life and observed this. However, rather than assisting him, the guy drowned Alexander.
The series ended with a smirk from Vladimir, knowing that he had gone away from the crime he committed.
