On May 24, Kapamilya artist and vlogger Ivana Alawi highlighted the world-class quality of the TV productions under ABS-CBN.
During the media conference for her upcoming series, A Family Affair, Alawi said the high quality of content convinced her to accept the role in the Kapamilya series.
“It’s because ang gumawa ay ABS-CBN, and kapag gumawa ang ABS-CBN talagang class. And alam mo ‘yun, hindi ako nag-aalala sa itsura ko, or sa story, kasi kapag gumawa talaga ang ABS-CBN, world class talaga.”
She also stated that the story of A Family Affair was perfect for her first lead role.
“I think the story pa lang, kasi sobrang nakaka-relate ako kay Cherry, so ‘yung nabasa ko siya, it’s perfect especially for my first lead role, na very loving sa family.”
She cited that it was the perfect timing for her to work in a Kapamilya series, especially with the easing of restrictions.
“And bakit sa tingin ko it’s the perfect time? It’s because ito ‘yung binigay sa atin ni Lord na makapag-taping, and makapag-prepare.”
She then expressed her gratitude for landing the major Kapamilya project.
“I feel very blessed, and I feel very grateful na nabibigyan ako ng mga ganitong opportunities, and for them to trust me with this good project.”
As for her series, Alawi stars in the upcoming Kapamilya series, Family Affair, along with other Kapamilya leading men Gerald Anderson, Sam Milby, Jameson Blake, and Jake Ejercito.
The series follows the story of Cherry Red and how her life entangles with the Estrella brothers.
The series, directed by Raymund Ocampo and Jerome Pobocan, premieres soon on Kapamilya platforms.
