Elijah Canlas and Kokoy de Santos revealed on Sunday, May 22, that the past season and the movie of their hit BL series Gameboys are nothing compared to Gameboys 2.
During the Gameboys Day, de Santos was asked what makes season two better.
“Ah! Walang sinabi yung season 1!” was his response.
Canlas then added, “Wala rin nasabi yung movie.”
De Santos had no intention to be boastful, but Gameboys 2 was “out of this world.” Their director, Ivan Andrew Payawal, has to separate the two actors.
“Hindi naman sa pagbubuhat sa sariling bangko ano, pero iba. Ibang klase talaga.
“Like si Direk Ivan mismo, parang medyo pinipigilan na kami. Kasi medyo nakakagigil iyong mga eksena dito,” he shared.
Apparently, season 2, which consists of eight (8) episodes, continues the show’s movie.
“Yes. I think, technically, we can say that. It’s an expanded version, it’s eight episode-worth of juicy Gameboy stuff na hindi ko alam how much we can stress and emphasize na ang dami pa talagang hindi nakikita from the movie,” stated Canlas.
He added, “Maraming ipapakita.”
However, the actor does not want to spoil the details to entice their fans and viewers to watch out for Gameboys 2.
“Pero, I really really don’t want to say too much or spoil too much. Because we want to keep the excitement who has waited basically two years to watch Gameboys Season 2.”
IdeaFirst Company produced the show. It took them two years and a movie before they released season 2.
In their defense, Canlas explained that the production company only wants to ensure quality content for their audience.
“IdeaFirst makes sure na everything is quality and of high standard all the time. Bago ipalabas and makita ng mga fans. Kasi deserve niyo ang magandang palabas.”
Meanwhile, Gameboys 2 already premiered on May 22. It is available on KTX.ph, and new episodes will be released every Sunday.
